Abstract:
The present paper deals with three minor details of Latin phonology: 1) the development of the initial sequence *u¿l¿-, where it is suggested that an apparent vacillation between ul- and vol-/vul- represents sandhi variants going back to the proto-language, 2) the adjectives ama¯rus ‘bitter' and ava¯rus ‘greedy' and 3) the internal cluster -mpl- of the nouns exemplum and templum.
