The teaching of concrete structures at DTU has been revised over the last years and the approach has been changed from a classic deductive to a more inductive approach, where teaching and understanding starts from observations of tests, videos, results etc. A large part of this material has been obtained form students CDIO- bachelor- or master-projects as well as experimental courses, where e.g. the stduents own digital cameras record the testing and the resulting phenomena. This simple approach have lead to better projects work, better reports and presentations and also to a substantial amount of material for the basic courses in concrete structures. Students experimental data are also used in the courses, both improving the understanding and the students motivations.
