The aim of this article is to fill this gap by providing current facts about attitudes and management behaviour as to quality in the Nordic information sector. Furthermore, the article will stress the importance of moving from strategies to action in the quality field. The article presents the basic findings of a survey conducted in the winter 1993-94 among business oriented libraries and information centres in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The survey is a part of th Nordic quality management project funded by NORDINFO.
