a philosophical reflection on the Storyline Method-pedagogyEn filosofisk refleksion over storylinemetoden
This presentation addresses the question of the child's formation. How do we expand education to formation, how do we come from skills to capability? To be formed is to know about "everything between heaven and earth" and about the connections between the many different types of knowledge. A knowledge that can be attached to the child's experience becomes a kind of enlightenment in the child's life, and this kind of knowledge creates formation. Formation then becomes a question of the relationship with other people, culture, history and nature. Formation means that the child understands more holistically and multifarious, the child is becoming more including and compassionate. If we consider man as a "linguistic character", the stories help to provide us because stories carry moral. The Storyline Method uses the story so children not only get factual knowledge, but children also recognize their own responsibility for the world and see how they can develop the world positively.
