Sustaining daily, unsupervised healthcare activities in a private home setting can challenge, among others, older adults. In this paper, we discuss experiences from designing a tablet mobile application, MediFrame, to support older adults’ medication management at home. In relation to MediFrame’s touch interface design, we discuss existing guidelines that can be adopted for touch interfaces and we use MediFrame to illustrate an implementation of such guidelines.
