The article descibes the national and international interest in lifelong education. The desciption leads up to a description of the attitude towards education among early school leavers and unskilled workers. Finally, the importance of organizational culture at unskilled workers' workplaces is discussed in relation to the individual worker's interest in education, concluding that it is neither possible to state for sure that the organizational culture has an influence on the interest, nor that it has no influence at all.
