A specimen of the Leatherback turtle (Dermochelys eariacea) was found stranded on October 15, 1989, at Tjurpannans Natural Reserve, Grebbestad, Swedish west coast. It had been trapped and accidenrally killed by fishingtackle in the sea on September 27, 1989. The skeleton of the specimen is deposited in the Natural history museum in Göteborg, Sweden.
